Rev. Dr. Scott Pattison

Scott Pattison has the heart of a counselor and the experience of a church revitalizer. Serving as a local church pastor since 1985, he has led one of the smallest churches and two of the largest churches in Indiana during that time. He has served some of the oldest and some of the youngest churches. He has worked with “tall steeple downtown” churches, as well as small-town and suburban congregations.

He has led churches through worship renewal, re-staffing, rebranding, and realignment of ministry and focus. He followed two founding pastors; both churches were started in the mid-late 1980s to reach people that traditional churches were not reaching. The first founding pastor Scott followed in 1995, and the second was a large, multi-site congregation with four worshiping experiences at two campuses following the death of the founding pastor. On January 1, 2024, Scott transitioned into the role of President Pro Tem for the Great Lakes Provisional Annual Conference full-time. He is based out of Kokomo, IN. He was appointed as the Conference Superintendent of the Great Lakes Annual Conference by Bishop Mark J. Webb, effective January 1, 2025.

Scott is a trained individual and group coach through an ICF (International Coaching Federation) coaching school and is ACC certified with ICF. Scott was actively involved in the Indiana Conference’s Healthy Church Initiative, known as the Fruitful Congregation Journey, as a participant, member of consultative teams, teacher, curriculum writer, and coach. He also received training as a coach for the ADAPT process in Indiana to help church planters. He has taught courses for the Indiana Online Local Pastors School.

He is a Certified Church Consultant and Church Revitalizer through Church Answers. He has also received certification as a Fresh Expressions Coach through Fresh Expressions US and United Seminary.

Scott has served on the WCA Board in Indiana and as Chapter President for part of that time.  He served as the Global Church Organizer and Leader of the Great Lakes TCAT (Transitional Conference Advisory Team) for our four-state area, helping to form the Great Lakes Provisional Annual Conference, which went live on July 1, 2023.

Scott received his call into full-time Christian ministry the summer before his junior high school, while attending church camp. He seeks to grow personally and lead churches to make a difference in the world in practical ways where people live, work, and play.

He earned a BA in Psychology (Huntington University), an MDiv (Anderson University School of Theology), and a DMin in Leadership Development (Anderson University School of Theology), focusing on church renewal with a focused dissertation on the Principles of Renewal and Revitalization Based on the Doctrine, Spirit, and Disciple of the Wesleyan Revival in England in the Eighteenth Century.

Scott has been married to Anita since July 20, 1985, who is also a trained ICF coach, Marketplace Chaplain, Life Coach with Thriving365 LLC, and is the Center Operations Manager at the local Pregnancy Resource Center. They have 2 adult sons, Zach and Matt.
